Jupiter – 3D space magnet – Planets of the Solar system

3D picture on 6 x 6 cm plastic board with magnet

This image was taken from three separate images of the Cassini probe taken on 8 October 2000, at a distance of 77.6 million kilometres from Jupiter.

Jupiter is the fifth planet of the Sun and the first gas planet. Like Saturn, it has no solid surface, so you cannot enter it. It is the largest planet in the solar system. Jupiter is the brightest celestial body after the sun, moon and planet Venus. You can easily see it in the sky with the naked eye.

Until today 61 moons are known, and he also has rings, but they are much thinner and darker than the rings of Saturn. Because Jupiter rotates very fast, the clouds form light and dark stripes that look like belts. If you look closely, you can see a structure that looks like an eye. This red "eye" is actually a hurricane that is constantly changing in size and color. Astronomers call it the "Great Red Spot". The belts and the eye are the trademarks of the planet Jupiter.
